Empowering Laboratory Leaders
National Association of CLIA Laboratory Directors
A non-profit organization dedicated to advancing patient care by empowering CLIA laboratory directors through quality improvement, leadership development, and work-life resilience.
Our Story
The National Association of CLIA Laboratory Directors (NACLD) was created to address the growing need for leadership development, collaboration, and peer support among CLIA laboratory directors across the country. Co-founded in 2025 by experienced CLIA laboratory directors, NACLD is a nationwide nonprofit platform that empowers current directors and builds a pipeline of future leaders through mentorship, education, and shared experience.”

Empowering Laboratory Excellence
At NACLD, we offer a comprehensive suite of services designed to support CLIA laboratory directors and emerging leaders. Our services are primarily hosted on Mighty Networks, a third-party platform integrated with the NACLD website, providing a seamless experience for our members. Our key offerings are designed to foster a collaborative environment, promote continuous learning, and provide access to valuable resources.

Private Online Community
Our private online community is a secure space for peer networking, collaboration, and resource sharing. It allows laboratory directors and leaders to connect with each other, share experiences, discuss challenges, and find solutions together. This community fosters a sense of camaraderie and mutual support that is invaluable in the demanding field of laboratory management.

Educational Activities
We believe in the power of continuous learning and offer a range of educational activities to our members. These include webinars on the latest developments in the field, journal clubs for in-depth discussions on recent research, book discussions on relevant topics, and leadership forums to share and learn from each other’s leadership experiences. These activities are designed to keep our members at the forefront of their field.

Mentorship Opportunities
Recognizing the importance of mentorship in professional development, we provide personal development opportunities for both current and future laboratory directors. Our mentorship program pairs less experienced members with seasoned professionals, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, guidance, and support.

Digital Resource Center
Our digital resource center is a repository of best practices, curated content, and member insights. It provides our members with easy access to a wealth of information and resources that can help them enhance their laboratory operations, meet regulatory requirements, and improve patient care.
